Arugam Bay

The surfing season in Arugam Bay begins in April and continues till end October each year. There are many surfing points in close proximity to Arugam Bay.

In addition to enjoying the sea and the sand at Arugam Bay, it is an ideal location from which to explore the surrounding countryside. The scenery is magnificent with mangrove forests, lagoons, temples, rice fields and rolling dunes. The Kumana bird sanctuary, Lahugala and Yala national parks are within a 10-30 km radius from Arugam Bay.

Buddhist temples including Kudumbigala, and Magul Maha Viharaya are within easy reach and is a must visit. The distance from 98 Acres to Arugam Bay is approximately 135 km and can be covered in about two hours.
