The scenery is magnificent with mangrove forests, lagoons, temples, rice fields and rolling dunes. The Kumana bird sanctuary, Lahugala and Yala national parks are within a 10-30 km radius from Arugam Bay.
Buddhist temples including Kudumbigala, and Magul Maha Viharaya are within easy reach and is a must visit. The distance from 98 Acres to Arugam Bay is approximately 135 km and can be covered in about two hours.
